I am a facilitator, speaker, writer, and coach.

I’ve been called a catalytic converter.
I’m okay with that.

After becoming a top program leader for a U.S. Personal Development company in the 90’s,  Context Associated,  I branched out on my own in 1998 and founded Constellation Learning Inc, whose logo you see above. Based in Toronto, Ontario, under that banner I conduct business all over the world.

My clients have ranged from individual one-on-one coaching, to one-day workshops for smaller businesses, to multi-day programs for multi-million dollar companies, to leadership programs for multi-billion dollar behemoths. My business is entirely referral-based; I am awed by the power of a recommendation.

Some highlights

In addition to newspaper and radio interviews, I’ve appeared on CITY-TV’s “Breakfast Television,” WTN’s “Spiritual Journey,” and am included in the best-selling book Dare to Dream: A Celebration of Canadian Women, by Michelle Valberg. I’ve written two books, Chicken Shi(f)t for the Soul and Sticks & Stones: The Science of Words, Water, and Well-Being and hosted an international internet radio program, Synthology, in 2006 and 2007. You can find those interviews in the Free Stuff section, along with some interesting newsletter archives and book reviews.

In 2005 I was the unfortunate victim of carbon monoxide poisoning from a faulty furnace in my home and it caused a need to curtail my energy. Until that point, organizations sent people to my site to attend development programs; now, I go to them. I now view the then debilitating event as one of the best things ever to happen to me; it caused me to take stock of my life and make some new choices propelling a re-ordering of my priorities.

This web site is a reflection of my new priorities: to be in greater service to a wider audience; to make better use of the internet in order to reach that larger audience; to assist more organizations to incorporate EQ development into their Leadership development programs; to be more available to my coaching clients on a more frequent basis; to live with more trust in the moment and less concern about the future; to spend more time with family and friends; to make available to anyone who wants it some of the knowledge I have accumulated in my considerable career. Hence the availability of videos and other free resources on this site to help you figure out how to do this thing we affectionately call life.

Some personal stuff

I have two grown sons, two brothers, three sisters, three nephews and four nieces. I’m equally comfortable in flannel shirts or formal wear, flip-flops are my favorite form of foot wear, and I’m passionate about the workings of the human mind, faith in the unseen, trees, puppies, clean water, and chocolate of any kind.

And I’ve got a thing for “C” words

They sort of run as a theme through my endeavors:

  • clarity
  • courage
  • calling
  • creativity
  • compassion
  • connection
  • character
  • confidence

If you’d like to contact me, e-mail me at cynthia@ccbarlow.com or call 416-694-6223.

I look forward to hearing from you.
